Public speaking, documentary appearances, and other engagements centering on disability advocacy and representation. Visibility and representation are the first steps towards education and normalizing disabled bodies.
I was invited to Dublin, Ireland for the 2023 EDS Society Global Learning Conference as a keynote speaker. My speech, "How To Find Your Superpower When Living With EDS & HSD" focused on both my journey to discovering advocacy through art, as well as how to discover what might empower others in their disability journey.
As part of their events celebrating National #DisabilityEmploymentAwarenessMonth, Zurich North America's AbilitieZ employee resource group (ERG) recently hosted a panel discussion around ableism featuring myself and moderator Tiffany Cheung Davis. Zurich North America's AbilitieZ ERG brings awareness around individuals with disabilities and provides a platform for members to share their unique perspectives and foster an inclusive workplace.
